Background Information Every year we enter students for Dance and Drama Exams. This gives everyone involved something to work towards, as well as a sense of achievement when exams are passed, it is very necessary for students who wish to become teachers. These exams are accredited for CAT points for university entry and can also be included for GCSE ‘A’ level exams.
Not all students are born dancers, singers and actors but we can assure you that any students not wanting to take exams will not be held back; they will advance to the next grade with the rest of their class. Don’t forget, dancing is for fun.
If a student wishes to join the profession and in our opinion has the natural talent, we can provide training to a professional standard that will enable the student at the end of their training to apply for auditions for professional work. Students passing through this Stage School have been successful when auditioning for parts in Hairspray, We Will Rock You, Oliver, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Love Never Dies, Mamma Mia (the film), Downton Abbey (TV) whilst others are enjoying cruise liner entertainment. Over the years many students have achieved their teaching qualification and now run their own dancing school all over the world.
The School has a very strong senior section. The School offers professional standard classes in Modern, Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Commercial Hip-Hop for students who wish to perform professionally and also wish to take their Teachers Exams These classes are also open to professional dancers who wish to take a class
