Infant Classes
Our Infant dance classes are where many children begin their exciting dance journey. Designed to be fun, encouraging, and engaging, these classes help students develop confidence, coordination, musicality, and a love of dance while learning new skills in a supportive environment.
Whether your child is continuing from our Pre-School classes or starting dance for the first time, our experienced teachers help every student feel welcome, build their confidence, and enjoy every step of their dance journey.

Infant Classes
5-6 Years
Our Infants classes are perfect for children aged 5–6 who are ready to take the next exciting step in their performing arts journey. Whether progressing from our Pre-School classes or joining Finch Stage School for the first time, children are welcomed into a fun, supportive environment where they can grow in confidence and develop their love of performing.
Classes run on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with pupils enjoying Ballet, Tap, Modern, Street Dance, and Musical Theatre. They learn new techniques while building strength, coordination, rhythm, and creativity. Every lesson is full of energy, encouragement, and fun, helping children develop their performance skills and confidence.
Classes take place at our Redbridge and Dagenham schools and are led by our experienced teaching team, who are passionate about helping every child reach their full potential in a friendly, family-focused atmosphere.
As children progress, they begin learning more detailed choreography, character work, and performance techniques while continuing to build strong dance foundations. They also have the opportunity to perform in our exciting stage productions, giving them the chance to shine in front of family and friends.
Parents love watching their children flourish, gaining confidence, making lifelong friendships, learning to work as part of a team, and developing discipline and resilience—all while having fun and creating wonderful memories at Finch Stage School.
Monday's
Redbridge
Ballet
Time: 4:30pm – 5:15pm
Our ballet classes help young dancers develop balance, posture, coordination and musicality through fun and engaging exercises. Children learn the foundations of ballet technique while building confidence and enjoying the beauty of movement.
Tap
Time: 5:15pm – 5:45pm
Tap classes introduce children to rhythm, timing and musical expression. Through fun routines and energetic movement, dancers develop coordination and confidence while learning the foundations of tap technique.
Modern
Time: 5:45pm – 6:15pm
Modern dance encourages creativity, expression and performance skills. Children learn exciting routines while developing strength, flexibility and confidence in a supportive environment.
Wednesday's Dagenham
Tap
Time: 4:30pm – 5:00pm
Our tap classes help children develop a strong sense of rhythm, coordination and musical awareness while having fun learning new steps and routines.
Modern
Time: 5:00pm – 5:30pm
Modern classes allow children to explore movement, musicality and performance while developing confidence, creativity and technique.
Ballet
Time: 5:30pm – 6:15pm
Our ballet classes help children develop coordination, posture, musicality and confidence while learning the foundations of ballet in a fun and encouraging environment.
Saturday's
Redbridge
Infant Musical Theatre – Singing & Drama
Time: 11:00am – 12:30pm
Our Infant Musical Theatre classes combine singing, drama and performance skills to help children build confidence, creativity and self-expression. Through songs, storytelling, character work and imaginative activities, children develop the skills needed to shine both on and off the stage.
Street Dance
Times: 12:30pm - 1:00pm
Street Dance classes introduce children to fun, energetic movement while developing musicality, coordination and confidence. With exciting routines and a supportive atmosphere, dancers can explore their own style while learning new skills.
