Meet the Finch team
At Finch Stage School, our students are at the heart of everything we do. Every class, every performance, and every achievement begins with a shared belief in nurturing confidence, creativity, and joy. Our dedicated team of teachers — many of whom trained at Finch themselves — bring professional experience from the stage and screen, alongside a genuine passion for helping each child thrive. Together, they create a warm, supportive environment where children are encouraged to dream big, work hard, and believe in their own potential. With expert guidance and genuine care, the Finch teaching team ensures every student feels seen, valued, and inspired to shine.
Nanci Beadle
Pre-School Ballet, Pre-School Tap
The Finch Stage School has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It was founded in 1933 by my wonderful grandmother, Betty Finch, whose love of dance and performance inspired generations of young people. My mum, Linda Finch, later took over and devoted her life to growing the school into the warm, thriving community it is today.
For the past few years, I’ve had the joy of running the school alongside my mum. Since her sad passing, I now have the honour of stepping into her role as Principal. Continuing the Finch family legacy means the world to me, and I’m dedicated to seeing the school continue to flourish — just as she would have wanted.
I’m also incredibly proud that my daughter, Molly, has now begun teaching at the school, marking the start of a fourth generation of Finches sharing their love of the performing arts.
All the fantastic Team Finch are incredibly talented, experienced and highly qualified teachers. They bring passion and dedication to every class, providing rich, inspiring training for all our students.
Each year, we enter all our dance students for BATD exams, helping to enrich their learning, focus their dedication, and deepen their passion for dance. Following the exam period, we stage a spectacular annual show featuring every student in the school, celebrating the wide range of dance and performance styles we teach. It’s a wonderful way to finish the school year on a high for everyone involved.
Together with our amazing team, I’m committed to nurturing creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of performing in every student who walks through our doors.

Tamsin
Ballet - Modern - jazz
I trained in performing arts at Bush Davies School of Theatre Arts and Arts Educational London, before beginning a professional career in performing and fashion.
Over the years, I have been lucky enough to work on Alternative Hair Shows for Sanrizz, Wella and Toni & Guy, as well as campaigns for Issey Miyake, Calvin Klein and Adidas. I have also performed in international trade and fashion shows for XS Productions, McArthurGlen, BMW and Mercedes.
Teaching has always been a huge part of my career, and I have had the privilege of teaching at some wonderful institutions, including Mountview, Arts Educational, Italia Conti and TTC.
I have been part of the Finch Stage School family for nearly 30 years, and it is something I feel incredibly proud of. I was very fortunate to be mentored as a teacher by Betty and Linda Finch, who taught me so much about not only developing young performers, but also supporting and encouraging them as individuals.
Over the years, I have had the joy of teaching and watching so many students grow from young dancers into confident performers and young adults. Seeing their confidence develop, celebrating their achievements and being part of their journey is incredibly rewarding.
I feel very lucky to continue doing what I love and to be part of the Finch family, helping the next generation discover their passion for performing arts.

bALLET - TAP - MODERN
After watching my first Finch show at 4 years old l began weekly classes for tap, ballet and modern.
I trained until the age of 28 under the instruction of both Betty and Linda Finch. Throughout the years l took exams in all 3 disciplines, finally taking my teaching qualifications in Ballet and Stage to Membership level with the BATD.
After a short break to start a family l returned to the school to teach on Wednesdays where my life at Finch began. I am able to combine my love and knowledge of dance by training the next generation of dancers.
It was an honour and privilege to be taught by Betty and Linda and l hope that l can share all that they taught me to develop and encourage further generations of dancers.
It is amazing to see how dance builds confidence and friendships that can last a lifetime.

STREET - commercial - TAP
I first fell in love with dance and performing at Finch Stage School, where I trained under Betty & Linda Finch, Nanci and Tamsin. The foundation they gave me shaped both my career and my passion for teaching, and it’s an honour to now work alongside those who inspired me from the very beginning.
Finch has always felt like a family — committed to high standards, creativity, and care. Watching students grow in confidence and ability, from their first class to senior level, is truly special.
With over 15 years of teaching experience and professional credits including choreography for the BBC, performances at the London Palladium, and international tours, I’m proud to share my love of performing with the next generation of Finchettes.

Amy Green
Singing
I trained at Finch Stage School until the age of 20 before studying Musical Theatre at Arts Educational Schools London. My time at Finch gave me the technical foundation, discipline, and work ethic needed to pursue a career in the performing arts. Since graduating, I have performed in a variety of professional productions and events, including the Olivier Awards, Friday Night is Music Night, TFI Friday, and the title role in Cinderella at the Barking Broadway.
As a student, I was taught by Nanci, Tamsin, and Jo, whom I am now proud to work alongside. I was also trained by Linda and Betty, whose legacy continues to shape the school and whose guidance helped me achieve my Associate qualification in Ballet.
I believe Finch teaches so much more than just how to perform. It teaches teamwork, resilience, commitment, and respect, while encouraging students to be positive role models for our younger performers. These qualities are valuable life skills that will benefit them far beyond the stage.
It is an honour to be part of the Finch Stage School team and to watch our pupils throughout their journey with us. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing them shine on stage each year, and I am incredibly proud to teach them.
Pete Dayson
Drama
Peter has enjoyed a remarkable career spanning over 50 years as a producer, director, actor, and writer, working across theatre, television, and live events. His credits include productions at the London Palladium, Her Majesty’s Theatre, and international tours, alongside appearances in TV favourites such as Doctor Who and ’Allo ’Allo.
With decades of industry experience, Peter brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and passion to his teaching at Finch Stage School. He describes it as a privilege to be part of a team that upholds such high standards in teaching, nurturing, and supporting every student. Watching pupils grow in confidence and technique — from the youngest beginners to talented seniors — is, in his words, “endlessly rewarding.”
There’s truly nothing like a Finch-trained student and nothing quite like Finch Stage School — a place filled with talented, inspirational, and dedicated colleagues who share a genuine love for the performing arts.
Jo Rockliff
Pre-School- Ballet - Tap
I have been passionate about dance since the age of four, dedicating years to training and successfully completing all of my teaching examinations. While I thoroughly enjoyed performing in cabarets and conferences across the UK, I discovered that my true passion lay in teaching dance and supporting the development of my students. Guiding others, nurturing their confidence, and helping them grow became the most rewarding part of my journey.
This passion for teaching and developing others naturally led me towards a career in physiotherapy, where I could continue to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. I trained as a physiotherapist and now work as a Senior Physiotherapist within the NHS, alongside my role as a Neighbourhood Lead. In this position, I combine clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, supporting both patient care and wider community health initiatives.
My journey reflects a balance of creativity and clinical skill, and today I bring these two worlds together by blending my background in dance with my clinical understanding of anatomy. When I teach, I integrate physiotherapy principles to enhance technique, improve performance, and promote safe, effective movement—allowing me to support individuals in reaching their full potential, whether through dance, rehabilitation, or overall physical wellbeing.
Molly
Finch has been my whole life since I was just a baby!
With it being started by my incredible Gran, passed down to my beautiful Nanny and now to my superstar of a Mum, I had no choice but to become a Finchette!
I have loved every single moment I’ve had here — from spending every weekend with my best friends, to learning so much from my amazing teachers, many of whom I’ve had the privilege of growing up alongside. The people around me have shaped me into the dancer I am today and have helped me continue my journey at Platinum Academy of Performing Arts.
Although 2026 will be my last year dancing at Finch, I’m so excited that I won’t be going anywhere just yet! I’ll be taking on a new role behind the scenes, helping with Finch’s social media and being involved in everything that happens behind the curtain. It’s so special to be able to give something back to the school that has given me so much throughout my life.
I will forever hold Finch in my heart, wherever I go, and will never forget how incredibly lucky and privileged I am to have had this amazing place around me for my whole life.
