Our Pre-School dance classes are the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of dance. Designed especially for little ones, these fun and engaging classes help children build confidence, coordination, creativity, and a love of movement in a friendly and supportive environment.

Pre School Classes

3-4 Years

Our 90-minute Pre-School classes introduce children aged 3–4 to the world of performing arts in a fun, nurturing environment. Through dance, drama, and singing, little ones learn to move with confidence, express themselves, and begin their exciting Finch journey on stage.


Each session is full of energy, imagination, and laughter — the perfect foundation for developing coordination, rhythm, and creativity.


Led by our experienced teacher Nanci Beadle, classes run every Saturday from 9:00–10:30am at the Jean Brown Indoor Arena, Redbridge Sports and Leisure Centre, IG6 3HD.

Children explore simple dance routines, storytelling through movement, songs, and imaginative play — all designed to nurture focus, confidence, and social skills.


Parents love how these sessions help their children blossom both in and out of class, learning to take direction, work as part of a group, and enjoy performing in a supportive, family-style atmosphere.

CLASS INFORMATION

Preschool Performing Arts Class (Ages 3–4)

Our Preschool Class is a fun and engaging introduction to the world of performing arts, specially designed for children aged 3–4 years.


Each Saturday morning at 9:00am, little performers enjoy a 1.5-hour session filled with creativity, movement, and music in a safe and supportive environment.


Children will explore:

Through playful activities and structured learning, we help build confidence, coordination, rhythm, and imagination, all while having lots of fun!

More Than Just Dance

 

Our Preschool classes are about so much more than learning steps. Through music, movement and creative activities, children develop important skills that support their growth both inside and outside the studio.


Each class helps children build confidence, coordination, balance, listening skills and independence, while encouraging creativity and imagination. They learn how to follow instructions, work alongside others and express themselves in a fun and supportive environment.


Most importantly, we want every child to leave class feeling happy, proud and excited to come back.

What should my child wear to class?

Comfortable clothes they can move easily in — like leggings and a t-shirt — are perfect to start. Once they’ve settled in, we’ll share our Finch uniform details if you’d like to purchase one.

Where are the Pre-School classes held?

Our Pre-School classes take place at the Jean Brown Indoor Arena, Redbridge Sports & Leisure Centre, Forest Road, Barkingside IG6 3HD. It’s a bright, welcoming space with excellent facilities and easy access for parents.

What days and times are the classes?

Pre-School classes are on Saturdays from 9:00am to 10:30am, led by our experienced teacher Nanci.

FAQ

Will I be able to stay and watch the class?

For our Preschool classes, we ask that a parent or carer remains in the building during the lesson. This helps children feel secure while they settle into their new routine and means you are nearby if your child needs any support.


Children will come out between lessons for small things such as changing shoes, and we appreciate your help with this. Our aim is to encourage independence while making sure every child feels comfortable, confident and supported as they begin their dance journey.

Can my child join during the term or only at the start of the year?

We welcome new starters throughout the year, subject to availability. Please get in touch to find out about current spaces.
